Becoming a Christian is often experienced as a decision rather than a calling, ‘converting’ as opposed to ‘being converted’, although it is often described in the Bible in terms of an invitation or calling.

Taking your Christian calling to a deeper level of commitment by becoming a member of a religious order is usually described as a vocation or calling, because it’s not for everybody.

It’s certainly not meant to be a legalistic endeavour or a kind of spiritual bondage in any way, but it does require a certain amount of commitment.

If you haven’t already, take a look at our pages to see what we’re about, and whether our Values, Principles and Rule are something that you could embrace.
