Torah

The word Torah represents three things:

• The first five books of the Old Testament (TaNaKh in Hebrew)

• The Law of Moses

• Sometimes it is used to mean the whole of the Old Testament. Jesus himself seems to use it in this way.

The Council of Jerusalem in Acts * makes it clear that it is expected that believers, including gentile believers, will learn the Torah weekly (in the synagogue).
